About Me
R’ Kasriel Moishe Ben Nochum Simcha Warlow-Shill
Administrator – Yeshivas L’chatchila Ariber
Although I don’t usually talk about myself, I feel it’s important to share a little background — as administrator of Yeshivas L’chatchila Ariber, I know people will want to understand who is behind this initiative.
I was born and raised in South Africa, where I lived for 22 years before moving to Australia. It was in Australia that I met my wife, Chana, and together we’ve been blessed with six beautiful children. Over the course of 30 years, we lived in Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne.
In the early 2000s, we became connected with Chabad. Since then, our connection with Yiddishkeit, the Rebbe, and Chassidus has grown steadily — and in recent years, exponentially. I have been fortunate to dedicate meaningful time to the study of Chassidus, particularly over the past six to seven years. With the guidance of exceptional teachers such as Rabbi Zvi Telsner, Rabbi Shabsi Tayar, and Rabbi Dr. Chaim Jacobson, I learned how to approach the deep and powerful teachings of Chassidus properly.
Baruch Hashem, I’ve merited to learn many of the Rebbe Rashab’s ma’amarim — including Samach Vav, Ranat, the first 2 chalokim of Ayin Beis and part of the third part too — as well as many ma’amarim of the Rebbe.
In 2024, our family made aliyah and settled in Efrat — nestled between Yerushalayim and Chevron. Transitioning from the vibrant Chabad infrastructure in Melbourne to Efrat was jarring. I was surprised to discover that while Chabad does have a daily Shacharis and minyanim on Shabbos and Yom Tov, there is no regular weekday Mincha or Maariv minyan. I made several attempts to establish consistent minyanim, but without success.
About five or six months ago, a young and passionate shliach, Rabbi Gilad Cohen, arrived in Efrat with his wife and their firstborn son, Shneor Zalman. Rabbi Cohen is dedicated to his shlichus, and together we have committed to building something meaningful for the English-speaking Chabad community in Efrat and Israel.
The first fruit of that collaboration is Yeshivas L’chatchila Ariber — a Chabad yeshiva for English-speaking bochurim. The yeshiva is the seed of something far greater: full-time Torah learning in Efrat, consistent daily minyanim, and the creation of a vibrant Chabad centre to support English-speaking Chassidim in Efrat, across Israel, and ultimately, around the world.
With so many families making aliyah — and so few Chabad resources for English speakers — our goal is to create a mekor (a source) of Chassidus, a spiritual power station that spreads the Rebbe’s message and brings Moshiach now. This yeshiva is not just about learning — it’s about action, transformation, and building a dira b’tachtonim — a dwelling place for Hashem in this world.
May we merit to see the fulfilment of the Rebbe’s vision, with blessings beyond measure — and Moshiach now.
Our initiative starts with the Yeshiva and will grow quickly into a seminary and Chabad Centre and anybody who shares the vision of bringing Moshiach now will be welcomed as an equal partner in this initiative.
I cannot take more credit for this than just doing what I can to bring Moshiah, so please be a part of it, do your part, be a part of it and bring Moshiach now!
Please be in touch to share in this initiative and bring more power to Moshiach Now.
