At Yeshivas L’chatchila Ariber, our goal is to empower young Chassidishe bochurim to live with absolute clarity of purpose — to bring Moshiach now through Torah, mitzvos, personal refinement, and community contribution.
Rooted in the Rebbe’s instruction to approach life le’chatchila ariber — going over obstacles from the outset — we blend intensive learning with acts of chesed, self-discipline, and real-world responsibility.
· Spiritual Immersion: Daily mikvah, Chassidus, davening with a minyan three times daily, and personal learning requirements (Chumash with Rashi, Tanya, Tehillim, and Rambam).
· Structured Environment: A clear daily routine that combines deep Torah learning with practical engagement and responsibility.
· Community Contribution: Afternoon hours are dedicated to helping local families — especially those affected by army service, illness, or other needs.
· Skills-Based Growth: Practical training such as woodworking and handiwork, instilling confidence and healthy self-expression.
· Small Group Setting: Intimate environment with space for 8 boys in our pilot intake, allowing for focused guidance and personal attention.
· Personalized Learning: Each bochur’s learning schedule will be tailored based on his individual capabilities, goals, and strengths. This will be assessed during the application and onboarding process.

Farbrengens are an integral part of our yeshiva life. Scheduled weekly and on special occasions, these gatherings create a deep sense of brotherhood and inspiration. Led by mashpi’im, local shluchim, or special guests, farbrengens help bochurim internalise what they learn, connect to the Rebbe’s vision, and uplift one another in the spirit of ahavas Yisrael and chassidishe joy.
Yeshivas L’chatchila Ariber operates under the auspices of Rabbi Gilad Cohen, one of the Chabad shluchim in Efrat. Rabbi Cohen and his wife relocated to Efrat approximately six months ago and recently welcomed their newborn son, Shneur Zalman. Rabbi Cohen is a passionate chossid and a devoted shliach of the Rebbe, fully committed to the mission of spreading Yiddishkeit and igniting the spark of Moshiach in every corner of the community.
Only boys who are genuinely committed to doing whatever it takes to bring Moshiach now will be eligible to join. This is not a place for passivity or minimal engagement. We are building the next generation of shluchim, leaders, and lamplighters. While the yeshiva is open to all suitable applicants, the program is primarily intended for English-speaking bochurim, depending on the applications received and the makeup of the group.
